Macugnaga, at the end of the beautiful
Anzasca valley, is a small alpine village dominated by the impressive East wall of the Mount Rosa
(4634metres) where you can be disturbed only by the cowbells in the meadows and the birdsong. The
Walser roots are still very recognisable walking through the lanes and past the beautiful historic
architecture. It's the ideal place for nature
lovers and offers the possibility of alpine sports, trekking, horseriding, and snow shoe walking. Places of interest include The Walser House Museum , The Blackmarket Museum, and The Goldmine. Not to be missed is a visit to the Belvedere Glacier. |
